I have been on the journey of self discovery and seeking to understand how things work , both within and around the body, for most of my life.
It is a journey of continuing growth and expansion to truly become more aware of the subtleties that life and nature have to offer us.
It's in the little things..
Over the years I have become increasingly aware of the deep need we have as a human tribe to communicate and understand the the animals within our care, whether  for sport or simply to have them in our space.
I received a strong communication from the horse world a few years ago, compelling me to create a modality the helps people to bond with their animals in a sacred and safe way, where can listen to the subtle clues of the body as well as the emotions being displayed so obviously by them.
The animal world is constantly communicating with us in the purest way, they have no placebo, we simply need to learn to listen and read the signs and signals in front of us.

I created an amalgamated modality for both horses and humans where I teach the science behind the fascial system, as well as the power of the autonomic nervous system and how to transcend chronic pain and trauma into a workable everyday practice.
Both techniques have their roots in fascia massage and trauma release techniques that range from deep slow pressure to very light and even off body. There are a multitude of different techniques that are tailored for the individual, and the more my students know how to work with the different systems the better.
I accept both practitioners and lay people who wish to only work with their own horse or family at home.
Healing should ideally be taught to everyone in the world, to empower ourselves on the road to healing.

I have been blessed to work on a wide range of people and horses over the years, from top athletes to grannies and everyone in-between.. I qualified as a massage therapist and cosmetologist in 1993 and subsequently in Laser Acupuncture, Reflexology and Meridian Therapy, Sports and Holistic and Swedish Massage techniques, Trigger Point therapy, Muscle Activation, Lynotherapy and Trauma Release Exercises.
I then delved more deeply into the world of trauma and fascia and how they intimately connect with one another, as fascia holds all our experiences and memories...
Horses became my passion at 3 years of age and have continued to be one of my greatest teachers.

Trauma Release Exercises made a huge impact in 2010 when the world of understanding trauma and its impacts in the body was presented. This led to a collaboration of myself and Dr David Berceli  to begin teaching TRE therapists, often psychologists and psychotherapists more about the body in weekend workshops around South Africa with a view to going international.

In 2014 I attended my first Fascia Summer School at the University of Leipzig run by Dr's Robert Schleip, Werner Klingler and Tom Findley (Founder of the Fascia Research Society).
I continued teaching the TRE community as well as running a busy practice from home, and could never get enough of this fascia stuff!
I began serious serious self study to learn ever more about the fascial Anatomy of both horses and humans.
I began to realize through experimenting with various fascia release techniques on horses , that I could induce the tremor mechanism in them which seemed to have a great positive impact.

In 2015 I attended the 5th International Fascia Congress in Washington DC, an amazing opportunity to network and to meet Dr Vibeke Elbrond, who presented the first fascia slings on horses there.
A month later I completed a chapter on the combination of fascia and TRE in Dr David Berceli's book on Trauma Release Exercises called 'Shake it off Naturally', to which Tom Myers very kindly gave me his pictures for the book.

In September 2016 I attended another Fascia Summer School at the University of Leipzig as well as a small focus fascia group of 20 people at the University of Chemnitz. This was a unique chance to get to know the founders of fascia research personally.
My first international workshop for humans was held in Berlin.

2016 also saw the launch of the first Equine Fascia and Trauma Release workshops which were created by popular demand by horse owners wanting to know more.
The first German Equine Fascia Workshop was held near Hamburg, where I  collaborated with my good friend Dr Doris Boerner for the first time.

2017 saw my return to Hannover,  as well as bringing Dr Boerner to South Africa to teach neurology and the theories of acupuncture to my Equine students. We continue to collaborate of many of the International Workshops.

In 2018 the Equine Workshop went to Sweden and Austria for the first time, and I attended the 5th International Fascia Congress.

2019 saw a return to Sweden and Germany for both the Human and Equine Workshops, and the launch of Module 2 in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
I did an internship with Ziga Mummel whom I met at Leipzig in 2016 which was an astounding experience, and eye opener to how amazingly our neural network  responds to the gentlest input. He inspired me to learn the works of Dr Andrew Taylor Still, the father of Osteopathic Medicine.

2020 was the greatest challenge as many of us experienced.
It ,however, opened the space up to create the online EFTR workshops which have been an amazing way to reach people across the globe.
Every new challenge presents a new opportunity. .

I continue to do what I love, working with people and animals to deepen their understanding of themselves and those around them, creating a greater level of awareness and love for the world to come.
