Equine Fascia and Trauma Release Workshops

All mammals possess the ability to neurogenically tremor after an arousal of the autonomic nervous system
Humans have overridden the brain stem function which allows them to naturally shake off this hyper arousal after fight, flight or freeze.
When manual fascia release is administered to either humans or domesticated horses, we are suddenly able to access the areas of stored trauma in the body, whether from a slow stress state or massive traumatic episode. We are also able to create phenomenal healing in the connective tissue where injury and pain occur, and release scars that could be creating a problem in the web.

In this workshop, horse owners and therapists alike will be taught the anatomy and biokinetic philosophy of Fascia, the Fascia Trains as discovered by the team led by Vibeke Elbrond at the University of Copenhagen( based on the Anatomy Trains of Tom Myers in humans) and how to release the tremor mechanism of the horse (Trauma Release Exercises) and in the human.

The attention is focused initially  on the riders and their own compensation patterns, and seeks to introduce an effective manual therapy tool to self-treat their equines and themselves.
The Workshop is not designed to replace but rather enhance the Equine Therapists toolbox and enable them to add a new aspect to their work.

It takes a more in depth look at the actual fascia trains as well  pain patterns, the link between chronic pain and trauma and the neurology of the autonomic nervous system.
The neurology has been a collaboration between myself and Dr Doris Boerner, a veterinarian from Hamburg who studied Neurology, Veterinarian Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine and Chiropractics.

Module 1 includes theory of fascia, scar tissue and imbalances, how to recognise and treat these in both horse and rider.
The theory of the fascia slings as based on the research by Dr Vibecke Elbrond becomes a practical addition to the gentle fascia release techniques. This is a bodywork fascial release technique.

Module 2 has a is more in depth theory on fascia, how works as an electrical system is and how to integrate various techniques including osteopathic cranio-sacral work.
There is more information on the neurological system, the organs and the brain, which becomes a large focus and explains why we cannot see or treat the fascial system as one of musclo-skeletal only.

What our clients are saying:

'Recently I attended a course "Equine fascia and trauma release" presented by Liza Kimble and it was a mind-bending experience that allowed me to start exploring the horse's body in a more confident, in-depth way I have never done before."
JJ Terblanche

I had the great privilege to attend Liza Kimble’s Advanced Equine Fascia and Trauma Release (EFTR) course this weekend.
My mind is blown into a million little pieces, each tiny piece still absorbing not only the theory and method but also immediate changes and results that I saw in the horses. It was INSANE.
Liza’s courses have hugely impacted me on a personal level, they have been life changing. She is the most incredible teacher and healer, I am so so lucky to be able to call her a special friend of mine as well. This woman just gets me 🤪
I encourage each and every one of my clients, friends, colleagues to attend just ONE of Liza’s courses. If it did to everyone what it did to me... We will have a kinder and calmer world.
And the horses!!! The horses LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I have never seen a group of horses all zone out and process everything on such a deep level as I have on Liza’s courses.
You don’t have to be a professional to attend Liza’s first course, only a passionate person that’s open minded and wanting to learn more...
My life has been changed by Liza. For that, I have no words. You have to experience it for yourself 💜
