I qualified as a massage therapist and cosmetologist in 1993 and subsequently in 1994 as a practitioner of reflexology and meridian therapy.
I specialized in Deep Tissue and Sports massage, as well as Trigger point and Chinese Meridian therapies.
During my career I have constantly searched to discover the latest techniques to help my clients.

I have been blessed to work on a wide range of people and horses over the years, from top athletes to grannies and everyone in-between.. applied Laser Acupuncture, Reflexology and Meridian Therapy, Sports and Holistic and Swedish Massage techniques, Trigger Point therapy, Muscle Activation, Lynotherapy and Trauma Release Exercises. Horses became my passion at 3 years of age and have continued to be one of my greatest teachers.

Trauma Release Exercises made a huge impact in 2010 when the world of understanding trauma and its impacts in the body was presented. This led to a collaboration of myself and Dr David Berceli  to begin teaching TRE therapists, often psychologists and psychotherapists more about the body in weekend workshops around South Africa with a view to going international.

In 2014 I attended my first Fascia Summer School at the University of Leipzig run by Dr's Robert Schleip, Werner Klingler and Tom Findley (Founder of the Fascia Research Society).
I continued teaching the TRE community as well as running a busy practice from home, and could never get enough of this fascia stuff!
I began serious serious self study to learn ever more about the fascial Anatomy of both horses and humans.
I began to realize through experimenting with various fascia release techniques on horses , that I could induce the tremor mechanism in them which seemed to have a great positive impact.

In 2015 I attended the 5th International Fascia Congress in Washington DC, an amazing opportunity to network and to meet Dr Vibeke Elbrond, who presented the first fascia slings on horses there.
A month later I completed a chapter on the combination of fascia and TRE in Dr David Berceli's book on Trauma Release Exercises called 'Shake it off Naturally', to which Tom Myers very kindly gave me his pictures for the book.

In September 2016 I attended another Fascia Summer School at the University of Leipzig as well as a small focus fascia group of 20 people at the University of Chemnitz. This was a unique chance to get to know the founders of fascia research personally.
My first international workshop for humans was held in Berlin.

2016 also saw the launch of the first Equine Fascia and Trauma Release workshops which were created by popular demand by horse owners wanting to know more.
The first German Equine Fascia Workshop was held near Hamburg, where I  collaborated with my good friend Dr Doris Boerner for the first time.

2017 saw my return to Hannover,  as well as bringing Dr Boerner to South Africa to teach neurology and the theories of acupuncture to my Equine students. We continue to collaborate of many of the International Workshops.

In 2018 the Equine Workshop went to Sweden and Austria for the first time, and I attended the 5th International Fascia Congress.

2019 saw a return to Sweden and Germany for both the Human and Equine Workshops, and the launch of Module 2 in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
I did an internship with Ziga Mummel whom I met at Leipzig in 2016 which was an astounding experience, and eye opener to how amazingly our neural network  responds to the gentlest input.

2020 is going to be the busiest year for local and international Workshops.
I have become very interested in the Osteopathic principals of Dr Andrew Taylor Still, and his profound ideas around health and healing.
Applying his techniques to horses has proven to be mindblowing..

I live on a farm in  Kwazulu Natal, South Africa with my partner, mum, 3 children and a menagerie of 7 rescue horses, 2 donkeys, 4 dogs and 2 cats.

What our clients are saying:

'Recently I attended a course "Equine fascia and trauma release" presented by Liza Kimble and it was a mind-bending experience that allowed me to start exploring the horse's body in a more confident, in-depth way I have never done before."
JJ Terblanche

I had the great privilege to attend Liza Kimble’s Advanced Equine Fascia and Trauma Release (EFTR) course this weekend.
My mind is blown into a million little pieces, each tiny piece still absorbing not only the theory and method but also immediate changes and results that I saw in the horses. It was INSANE.
Liza’s courses have hugely impacted me on a personal level, they have been life changing. She is the most incredible teacher and healer, I am so so lucky to be able to call her a special friend of mine as well. This woman just gets me 🤪
I encourage each and every one of my clients, friends, colleagues to attend just ONE of Liza’s courses. If it did to everyone what it did to me... We will have a kinder and calmer world.
And the horses!!! The horses LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I have never seen a group of horses all zone out and process everything on such a deep level as I have on Liza’s courses.
You don’t have to be a professional to attend Liza’s first course, only a passionate person that’s open minded and wanting to learn more...
My life has been changed by Liza. For that, I have no words. You have to experience it for yourself 💜
